Japanese Business Manner #2: Where to stand in the elevator

If you happen to get on an elevator with executives or your client, do you know where to stand in the elevator??? Look below.

  1. You will get on the elevator first and stand in front of the floor buttons and hold the door or press “Open”.
  2. You will be where you are and the number one boss or client will be right behind you.

In Japan farther away from the entrance/exit is considered the best seat, in this case, the left side in the back will be it.
